Its not often that you see the Rappahannock River with so much fog over the water.  It was a rainy day but I could not resist the opportunity to get down on the river and explore.  This is just one of the amazing views I was able to catch.  I walked quite a ways on the river bank and the perspective you get was awesome due to all the contrasting colors.

Like a man traveling in foggy weather, those at some distance before him on the road he sees wrapped up in the fog, as well as those behind him, and also the people in the fields on each side, but near him all appear clear, though the truth he is as much in the fog as any of them. ~Benjamin Franklin

Composing is like driving down a foggy road toward a house.  Slowly you see more details of the house,  the color of the slates and bricks, the shape of the windows.  The notes are the bricks and the mortar of the house. ~Benjamin Britten
