RV Hall of Fame
On our way to Yellowstone we stopped at the RV Hall of Fame in Elkhart, Indiana. It was an incredible place to visit that truly embodied the history of RV’s. The RV’s there were incredible. Everything from modern day RV’s to old RV’s like the ones below that most people don’t even realize existed. If you are ever in the Elkhart area and you love RV’s, take the time to stop and see the museum. You’ll truly be surprised by what you see. Here is the address to the museum and a link to their website:

RV and Motor Home Hall of Fame

The classic GMC motorhome above is rarely seen these days. If you happen to catch one in this style you’ll typically find it in a field with vines wrapped around it. This is an amazing looking ride!

Imagine the RV above when it was brand new. Classic chrome styling, beautiful from bumper, mustard retro yellow. I could see myself cruising around in this thing now!

Here I am peaking outside the window of an old Shasta. All of the Shasta’s had a very retro feel from the 50’s or 60’s.

Here is a look at the appliances of the day. Here is a General Electric Refrigerator and below some stackable ovens.

Nothing will truly capture the history of the RV and Motorhome museum. The museum even housed RV’s from the early 1900’s. It was truly fascinating. I definitely recommend going to the museum if you are passing through Indiana even if you are not a big RV fan.
